For Mike's birthday (Levi's dad) which was back in January the Luster family went indoor skydiving. I've never been real skydiving or indoor skydiving. Of course I was scared at first but a little bit excited too ;) When we pulled up a group of men from the Army were just about to land from doing a few jumps. You can do real skydiving there also. They made the landing part look like a breeze. But then again they've done it 100 times, too. Once we got signed up we had to wait for the group in front of us to finish. They were doing twists, two people at once, and all sorts of tricks...again, they made it look easy. We went through a short tutorial, and then put on our jump suits. I felt like I was getting ready to rob a bank!
Here's Levi, Mike and Tanner in their jump suits
Here's Levi and I with our hats and goggles on. Cute, right?!
Each person got to go for two 2 minute sessions. On the first turn they help you in and helped you maintain the form they gave you in the tutorial
If you got too close to the walls or ground, you just push off to get back into the middle
"Cheese!"
It gets cold inside because the HUGE fans under the ground are pushing up so much air.
Of course Levi was good :)
On our second turn in the last 10 seconds, they hold onto you and twirl you allll the way up to the top. That was the best part! It's hard to tell in this picture but you go up pretty far
Everything we were doing that day was very basic. So if we were to go again, we could learn how to stand up, do flips, make circles, etc. Our instructors were very good at it, which they should be :)
Now onto the real thing!! ;)
How fun!!!! where was this at.... I think that would be pretty cool to try.
